ARTPARK march 22–30, 12–6 pm

I am not a perfect parent, or a perfect human, I am a decent saxophone player, and a pretty mediocre domestic partner when it comes to upkeep bill keeping.  That said, Laura and I are building a maze for Violet’s school just cuz, which is pretty deep, so, you know, we all have our strengths and our weaknesses.  Some kids have these really together parents that are just like super crisp and solid, and I build mazes.  6 or 1 half dozen or the other…

Getting very excited for this.  It is the first in a series of events that I’ll be doing at Issue under the Representing NYC moniker, programming featuring participants from lots of backgrounds with surprising connections.  The line up for the first jam is so good, and we are right next to Charlamagne Palestine on the web site.  Huzzah!

ISSUE & Representing NYC host an evening of innovative performance by New Yorkers ages 5 to 75. Students hailing from Bedstuy, Bushwick, Corona, and Elmhurst, present performance works developed at the Arts and Literacy after school program, joined by Charles Gayle, Mantra Percussion, Nuit Blanche, and ESP TV.
