I’m very into this young lady and the videos she posts… Her stuff captures the plight of the talented adolescent… You hit the double digits and you realize that the world kind of sucks, and that all these grown folks around you are like these giant children trying to hide that fact from you, but they have all this agency, and jurisdiction over you… One or two particularly inspired adults around you get excited because you demonstrate promise in some medium, music, or what have you… And you’re stoked, cuz it’s the first time any of these ass holes have agreed to leave you alone in your whole short life! So you’re like ‘thanks!’, you take the instrument and sit alone in a room banging it out, because it beats the hell out of dealing with the macabre world on the other side of the practice room door that your grown up counter parts are so deeply emmeshed in… Maybe I’m reading a bit into Sandra’s performance here, but I love this shit! Check it…
